Dr Jeremy De Valck is a Senior Research Fellow at Central Queensland University (CQU), Research Theme Leader – Regional and Rural Economies for CQU’s Centre for Regional Economies and Supply Chains (CRESC) and Secretary of the AARES QLD Branch. Jeremy is an environmental and resource economist, with strong research interests in sustainability, natural resource management and geographic information systems. He applies non-market valuation techniques (e.g. choice modelling, travel cost) to the study of environmental assets, ecosystem services and biodiversity. Jeremy has worked on numerous research projects related to the management of the Great Barrier Reef, sustainability issues in regional areas and consumer preferences for different food, water, and environmental policies.
